On September 30,2010 The Austin City Council and Mayor Lee Leffingwell proclaimed "Tee-Double Day" in Tee-Doubles hometown of Austin,Texas!! For many years Tee-Double has been a trail blazer in the Texas music scene in not just the Hip Hop arena but varioous genres and globally as well.
Tee Double has blurred the distinctions commonly associated with entrepreneurs, songwriters, producers, and poets. Armed with a freestyle grace that can only be witnessed in person, he has let his lyrics flow, defined with bass lines that have given them power to shape a community.
An Austin-born emcee, producer and promoter, Tee Double has released numerous highly aclaimed independent albums, spanning more than a decade of Texas hip-hop's history. After years of recording and performing, Kinetic Marketing was created in hopes of promoting major label acts in the Southern region of the U.S. This effort eventually grew into Kinetic Global handling global recording,Mixing,marketing,manufacturing,publishing,licensing and consulting. Building strong partnerships with like minded creators of art.
The newly created company has opened up many opportunities for other hip-hop artists in the city of Austin and the surrounding areas to be seen,heard and embraced by larger markets.
Tee Double also has worked as the National Urban Hip-Hop Coordinator for SXSW, a yearly conference and exhibition in Austin highlighting the entertainment industry. The culmination of artistic talent and business knowledge has allowed Tee Double the ability to succeed in an otherwise volatile industry.
From selling cassette tapes on the drag across the street from the University of Texas for a buck to becoming an Advisory Board Member for the Austin Music Foundation and speaking on panels for the Texas Chapter for the Grammy's "Grammys in school program",University of Texas and Prairie View A&M msic and entreprenuer programs. Tee-Double is also working closely with AMP a new music related program dedicated to the continued growth of the music scene in Austin,Texas.
As well as being the only Texas Hip Hop artist invited on a U.S. and Canadian wide adventure called The Cali-Comm4. Performing on the 45 date tour with Aceyalone (Project Blowed/Freestyle Fellowship) ,Del (Heiroglyphics) ,Zion I & Tha Last Star Fighta Bukue One sponsored by ESPN Sports!
Tee Double has also performed with incredible artist including Del the funky homosapien,Aceyalone,Salih Williams (Carnival Beats producers of Paul Wall,Bun B.,Mike Jones ),WALE,The Roots, Snoop Dogg ,Jurassic 5,Common,Arson Optics,The Blues Travelers, Ozomatli, Ivan Neville,Dumpstafunk, Bob Schneider, and many more while producing records for some of the worlds freshest underground talent around the globe.
